Another difficult short sale in San Diego

As you probably know we handle short sales in San Diego and recently closed one that was very difficult. On top of endless phone calls, faxes, emails and banging our heads against the wall every time our file was lost and having to start over it went fairly smoothly at least up to the point of having to complete our visual inspections.

The video posted below was what we found when we went and completed our visual short sale. We were able to work through this with the other agent and believe it or not were able to close this and close this with an FHA loan. WOW, credit to Miguel & Carlos on this one. It only took 14 months to complete.

Remember to review our short sale options page if you are considering a real estate short sale. We handle short sales in San Diego County. Short sales don’t make sense for everyone and we will advise you to consider other options if we believe a short sale is not your best option.

Option # 1 Sell Your Home

Option # 2 A Short Sale – Not a Typical Sale

Option # 3 Refinance Your Home

Option # 4 Negotiate a Forbearance Agreement

Option # 5 Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure

Option # 6 Do Nothing – Just Let it Go.

Carlos has been licensed in California since 1976. Its many more years than he would care to remember.

All of the options above can be reviewed in more detail on our short sale options page. It will provide you information on short sales and how to avoid foreclosure. Feel free to call or email us for a confidential consultation.

  1. Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info on how to handle short sales, we are just starting to get into the short sale market ourselves. We are starting to see some turn around in the market here in south Florida, we hope the same for you in San Diego!

  2. Hey your short sell options are good. Thanks for putting them out there so new agents dealing with short sales can have something to go by. Now on to that back yard. What was going on there?

  3. Don’t know if my first comment got posted but here it is again. I like the way you put up short sell options. It gives new agents and agents that have never did a short sell something to go by. Thanks for that. Now about that back yard. What was going on there? Why was it left like that the buyer had nothing to say?

Despite all the garbage in the backyard, and well, the hideous pool, and well, the ugly house, I think it’s a gem. No, seriously. It’s the area. It’s on a decent cul-de-sac and the views are pretty cool. Actually, the area on the side of the house, from what I can see in the video, looks pretty promising.

On another note, good move on going with WordPress for your real estate site. It’s the only way to go. Also, the listings layout really well on your IDX pages. Colorful and simple. You’re probably ranking well on the search engines given all your content, too. That’s exactly how you do it, it’s all about content.

Anyways, thanks showing this short sale.

Sorry that previous post added that link to my real estate theme. I don’t know why it’s doing that.

From a buyer perspective, it’s definitely worth the wait. There might some toilsome cleaning and renovation to do but once it’s over, it’s going to be a nice place to stay.
