Point Loma Homes For Sale – 92106

What can I say about Point LomaPoint Loma is one of my favorite areas of San Diego because I spent most of my life there. I lived at the top of the hill above Cabrillo Elementary School. The hill was extremely steep and not much fun to walk up or down but it was the little things that made Point Loma so special to me. Point Loma is one area of San Diego you have to look at when you are deciding where to purchase a new home. Point Loma has property available in many different price ranges as it spans quite a large area. You can find property up in the hills, by the bay, or closer to Ocean Beach.

Point Loma has areas that span from your basic small properties to very large upscale properties so you are bound to find what you are looking for. Point Loma is very close to Ocean Beach and Old Town, each offering very unique and different activities for residents and tourists alike. Old Town offers a glimpse into San Diego’s history with Hispanic buildings and shops and the famous haunted Whaley Museum. Old Town is a nice way to spend the day and is right next to Point Loma. Just over the hill to the west is Ocean Beach. I also lived here and my family still does. In Ocean Beach, you will find a very close-knit community that still has some 60’s influences. You will hear music coming from every other house, everyone is very friendly, and there is a great swimming and surfing beach. Next to those beaches is the famous OB Dog Beach where you can take dogs unleashed and let them go crazy in the ocean. They love it.

Pacific Beach is home to the famous Crystal Pier and a beautiful boardwalk. The pier allows fishing and also has a very unique hotel on the pier that lets you sleep above the ocean waves. The boardwalk has all types of local flavor and is a great spot for people watching. There are joggers, rollerbladers, bicyclists, and people who are browsing various shopping venues always traveling the boardwalk.

Point Loma has the famous Point Loma Seafoods market. If you love seafood, everything you could imagine can be found here and it’s as fresh as possible. They have daily specials and there are many fish that you can’t buy in a traditional supermarket that are available here. The Point Loma Lighthouse is located in Cabrillo National Park which is a fun little hike with lots of informational material and one of the best places to see the migration of the grey whales every spring.

Point Loma is one of the nicest areas in all of San Diego and if you are looking to buy property, you should definitely consider it. There are many schools, close freeway access, and it is right by the trolley station if you ever feel like using public transportation or taking a fun trip to Tijuana.

Point Loma is located within the county of San Diego, approximately 15 minutes drive to Downtown San Diego.
